TPI's Steve Johnson teaches "Foundation School" in Sao Paulo

TPI Vice President Steve Johnson recently returned from Sao Paulo, Brazil where he led workshops on Strategic Thinking in Private Social Investment and High Impact and Venture Philanthropy as part of a six day “Foundation School” produced by the Charities Aid Foundation in partnership with the Institute for the Development of Social Investment (IDIS)
Speaking to donors and foundation staff, Steve addressed issues including the qualities and best practices of strategic foundations; creating philanthropic goals, focus, strategies, and vision; and the characteristics of high impact and venture philanthropy.
IDIS is a civil society organization, based in Sao Paulo, committed to social development. Through the promotion and structuring of private social investment, IDIS seeks to systematize different models of social intervention that contribute to reduce social inequalities in the country.
